Q:

Are there any good podcasts or audiobooks to listen to during a workout to keep me motivated?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some recommendations for podcasts or audiobooks that can keep me motivated during my workout. I've been struggling to stay on track with my fitness goals, and I think having something to listen to while I exercise could really help me stay focused and push through any tough moments.

For context, I typically do a mix of cardio and strength training, and I usually work out for around an hour each day. I'm open to any kind of content, whether it's focused specifically on fitness or just something that's generally uplifting and inspiring. Bonus points if the podcast or audiobook is long enough to last through multiple workouts!

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Hi there,

I can completely relate to needing some motivation during workouts. One podcast that I love listening to while I work out is "The Model Health Show" by Shawn Stevenson. It's a podcast about health and wellness, with topics that range from nutrition to fitness to sleep. The conversations are incredibly informative, and it motivates me to make healthy choices in my daily life. Shawn Stevenson's joie-de-vivre and his knowledge in this field helps me to stay on track on my fitness goals.

Another great podcast to get motivated is "Optimal Living Daily." It's a personal development podcast that reads blog posts from various authors on the topics of productivity, mindfulness, and personal growth. Each episode is relatively short, usually around ten minutes, making it easy to listen while working out. I find that listening to personal stories of people who have overcome obstacles to achieve their dreams is incredibly motivating.

If you're looking for audiobook recommendations, I would suggest "Mindset: The New Psychology of Success" by Carol Dweck. The book discusses the power of a growth mindset and how it can help people achieve their goals. I found this book to be truly inspirational, with actionable steps to develop a growth mindset and take full control of our life.

I hope these suggestions help you stay motivated and reach your fitness goals! It's all about discovering what works for you and what keeps you motivated.

Hey there!

I totally understand the need for some extra motivation while working out. One of my favorite podcasts to listen to while exercising is "10,000 "No"s" by Matthew Del Negro. In this podcast, Del Negro interviews people from various industries, including writers, entrepreneurs, and actors, about their experiences with rejection and adversity. Each episode is filled with stories of grit and determination, which I find incredibly inspiring and motivational.

Another podcast that I'd recommend is "The Minimalists Podcast." This show focuses on minimalism and living intentionally, with episodes that cover everything from decluttering your home to managing your finances. Not only does this podcast provide practical advice, but it also reminds me of the importance of making mindful choices and living with intention.

If audiobooks are more your style, I would suggest "The Four Tendencies" by Gretchen Rubin. This book explores how people respond to expectations, and it provides valuable insights into why some people struggle with habits and self-motivation while others thrive. I found it to be an eye-opening read, and it helped me understand myself better and discover ways to stay motivated even when I feel like giving up.

I hope these suggestions help you stay motivated during your workouts! There are countless podcasts and audiobooks out there, so keep exploring until you find what works best for you. Happy listening!

Hey,

I get you, working out for an extended period can be tiring and exhausting. But a great podcast can keep you engaged and make the time fly. "The Joe Rogan Experience" is one podcast I enjoy listening to while I work out. It has a wide range of guests, experts, scientists or athletes, and discusses various topics, from scientific advancements to cultural trends, to zoology to nutrition. The conversations are really interesting, and I never get bored while listening. I also find that when I listen to experts talk about their subject, it gives me a greater understanding and moreover inspiration to achieve the same level of excellence in my life.

Another podcast that you may love is "Oprah's SuperSoul Conversations." It's a motivational podcast that brings together interviews with experts of different fields to discuss spirituality, self-help, wellness, and personal growth. Oprah has a great way of provoking deep conversation, and the stories from each guest can be powerful and genuinely motivating.

If you want an audiobook that can keep you motivated, I would suggest "Can't Hurt Me: Master Your Mind and Defy the Odds" by David Goggins. It's an incredible book that shares Goggins' story of how he overcomes adversity and became a Navy SEAL, ultra-marathon runner, and record holder. The book describes his journey to achieving his goals despite having a difficult childhood and facing adversity throughout his military career. The book continually challenges you to push beyond yourself and become the best version of yourself.

Hope these suggestions are helpful for you. Good luck and happy listening!

Hello there,

I completely get where you're coming from when it comes to looking for ways to stay motivated during workouts. When I'm feeling exhausted or lacking motivation, I find that listening to audiobooks and podcasts is an excellent way to keep my mind engaged while my body is working hard.

One podcast that I have been loving lately is "The Tim Ferriss Show." Tim Ferriss is a successful author and entrepreneur who interviews people who are at the top of their game in various industries, from actors to athletes. He explores what makes them successful and uncovers their tips and tricks to achieving greatness. The conversations are generally quite long, so it's great for marathon sessions, but they're also incredibly engaging and inspiring.

If you're looking for audiobook recommendations, I would suggest "Born to Run" by Christopher McDougall. It's a fantastic book that combines the author's personal journey with the science of running. It delves into the science behind why humans are built for running and the benefits of running long distances, such as endorphin rushes and reduced stress levels. The book is both entertaining and informative, and it will keep you motivated to keep running for miles and miles.

Another great audiobook is "Get Up: The Art of Perseverance" by Adam Greenberg. It's a book about following your dreams, no matter how ridiculous or unattainable they may seem. The story follows Adam Greenberg, a professional baseball player, who has faced challenges and setbacks throughout his career. The book is genuinely inspirational, and it's an excellent pick-me-up when you're feeling discouraged.

I hope you enjoy these recommendations! Remember that staying motivated during workouts is all about finding what works for you. Keep exploring and trying new things until you find what gets you fired up and ready to go.
