Hello everyone,
I'm currently trying to set a healthy eating plan for myself and I was wondering if there are any special considerations I should keep in mind while doing so. For a bit of context, I've recently started working out regularly and I want to make sure that I'm fueling my body with the right nutrients to support my fitness goals.
I've been doing some research online about different types of diets and meal plans, but I'm not sure which one would be best for me. I also have some specific dietary restrictions (I'm lactose intolerant) that I need to take into account.
Any advice or tips on what I should keep in mind while creating my healthy eating plan would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Hey there,
When it comes to setting a healthy eating plan, one thing that has helped me is understanding the importance of balance. It's important to make sure that you're getting a variety of nutrients from different types of foods in order to support your overall health.
For me, balance looks like incorporating plenty of fruits and vegetables into my meals, along with lean protein sources like chicken or tofu. I also make sure to include healthy fats, such as avocado or nuts, and complex carbohydrates like brown rice or quinoa.
Another thing that has been important for me is finding healthy snacks that I enjoy. When I'm on the go or need a quick pick-me-up, I'll reach for things like an apple and almond butter, hummus and veggies, or a protein bar.
In terms of guidelines for healthy eating, I try to follow the 80/20 rule. This means making healthy choices 80% of the time, and allowing myself to indulge in treats or less healthy options 20% of the time. This helps me to strike a balance between being mindful of my nutrition and enjoying food without feeling deprived.
Hope this helps, and good luck on your healthy eating journey!
