I've recently started my weight loss journey and have been sticking to a strict diet and exercise routine. However, I've been reading conflicting information online about whether taking breaks or rest days can help or hinder my progress.
On one hand, I've read that taking rest days can actually help with weight loss as it allows your muscles to recover and rebuild, which can ultimately help you burn more calories in the long run. On the other hand, I've also read that taking breaks and rest days can slow down your metabolism and make it harder to lose weight.
So, I'm a bit confused as to what the best approach is. I don't want to hinder my progress, but I also don't want to push myself too hard and risk injury or burnout.
