Hi everyone,
I'm struggling to stay motivated while working towards my fitness goals and I was hoping to get some advice. I've always been a relatively active person but during the pandemic, I put on some weight due to a lack of activity and unhealthy eating habits.
I've decided that it's time to start taking care of my health and get back into shape, but I'm finding it really difficult to stay motivated. I have a tendency to make excuses and skip workouts or cheat on my diet.
I've tried setting goals, creating a workout schedule, and finding a workout buddy but nothing seems to work. Any tips or advice on how I can maintain my motivation and stay on track would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Hello everyone,
I can totally understand the struggle of maintaining motivation while working towards fitness goals. I too have struggled with this in the past, but I have found a few tricks that have helped me stay motivated and stick to my goals.
One of the ways to stay motivated is to regularly remind yourself of why you started in the first place. It can be helpful to write down your goals and keep them somewhere that you will see them every day. This will help keep you focused on what you're working towards.
Setting smaller, achievable goals can also help you stay motivated. Trying to lose 50 pounds can be overwhelming, but breaking it down into smaller goals like losing 10 pounds at a time can be more manageable and rewarding. Celebrating these smaller victories can boost your confidence and keep you motivated to achieve your bigger goals.
Another thing that has helped me is finding a workout partner that has similar goals. Having someone to hold you accountable can be really helpful. It’s also important to remind yourself to be kind to yourself, and not to expect perfection. There will be days when you falter, but it’s important to pick yourself up and keep pushing towards your goals.
I hope these tips help on your fitness journey!
