Hello everyone,
I recently got injured while playing basketball and my doctor has advised me to take a break from high-impact exercises until I fully recover. However, I still want to stay active and maintain my fitness level. Can anyone suggest some low-impact exercises that I can do at home or at the gym?
Some information about me that might help: I am a 25-year-old male and usually work out 4-5 times a week. I enjoy cardio and weightlifting but I am willing to try out new things. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Hi there,
I can totally relate to your situation! I was also dealing with a knee injury a while back and had to take a break from my regular workouts. However, I found that swimming and water aerobics worked wonders for me. These workouts are gentle on the joints, but can still provide an intense workout. Plus, they're a great way to stay cool during the summer months!
Another low-impact exercise that I found helpful was using an elliptical machine. This workout puts minimal stress on the joints while still providing a good cardio workout. Most elliptical machines also come with adjustable resistance levels, so you can change the intensity of your workout as needed.
I also recommend trying out some bodyweight exercises, such as squats, lunges, and push-ups. These exercises don't require any special equipment and can be done at home or in a park. Just be sure to start with a lower intensity and gradually work your way up.
Overall, there are plenty of low-impact exercises out there that you can do while recovering from an injury. My advice would be to stay patient, listen to your body, and consult with your doctor before trying any new workout routine.
Good luck on your road to recovery!
