I am a 30-year-old who works a desk job and leads a sedentary lifestyle. I have realized that I need to start exercising to improve my health and fitness levels. However, I am not sure where to start and how to ensure that I do not injure myself while starting my exercise regimen.

Can anyone share some tips on how to safely start exercising for someone who comes from a sedentary background? I do not want to be discouraged by any injuries or setbacks, so any advice on how to gradually increase the intensity of my workouts would be greatly appreciated.
