Q:

I'm struggling to drink enough water during the day - any tips for staying hydrated?

Hey all,

I've been trying to make a conscious effort to stay hydrated throughout the day, but I find myself struggling to drink enough water. I work in an office and get caught up in my daily tasks, often forgetting to take a break and hydrate. As a result, I'm constantly feeling fatigued and sluggish.

Do any of you have tips or tricks for staying hydrated? How do you remind yourself to drink enough water? Any specific water bottles or apps that have helped you stay on top of your hydration game? I'm eager to learn and incorporate some new habits into my routine.

Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone,

Like many of you, I too have struggled with drinking enough water throughout the day. One thing that has helped me immensely, particularly when I'm busy, is setting a timer on my phone to remind me to drink water. I usually set an alarm to go off every hour or so, which helps me to stay on track and drink enough water consistently throughout the day.

Another tip that has worked for me is drinking warm water with lemon in the morning. Not only does this kickstart my digestion, but it also has many health benefits, including weight loss and clear skin. Starting my day off with warm water and lemon has helped me to get a good start on my hydration goals each day.

I also track my water intake in a journal, which helps me to be accountable to myself for the amount of water I'm drinking. Writing down when I drink water or how much water I drink in a day helps me focus on my intake and makes me more aware of the quantity of water I'm consuming.

Lastly, I've found that incorporating water in a fun and creative way, such as making fruit-infused water or drinking sparkling water, has made it easier for me to drink more water. It's a small change that makes a big difference for me.

I hope these tips are helpful for you, and best of luck with your hydration journey!

Hey friend,

I too have struggled with staying hydrated throughout the day, but I've found one thing that's helped me most is monitoring the color of my pee. If it's a light, almost clear color, then I know I'm adequately hydrated. If it's a darker yellow color, that's my queue to drink more water.

Another helpful tip I've found is that drinking water with meals is a great way to keep hydrated. Not only does this help with digestion, but it also helps to add to my daily water intake.

I don't currently use any apps to track my water intake, but I have taken to setting reminders on my phone every couple of hours to drink some water. Once your body gets used to drinking water frequently, it'll become an automatic habit and you'll no longer need the reminder.

Lastly, I've found that carrying a water bottle with me everywhere I go has helped me a lot. I always have access to water and don't have to depend on vending machines or shops to keep me hydrated.

Hope these tips help you! Good luck on your journey towards staying hydrated.

Hey there!

I used to struggle with staying hydrated too, but I've found a few things that have helped me. Firstly, I always keep a water bottle within arm's reach - whether I'm at work or at home. This way, I'm constantly reminded to take a sip every now and then. I also take a few big gulps of water every time I get up from my desk or finish a task.

Another thing that's helped me is using an app to track my water intake. I have an app called WaterMinder that sends me reminders to drink more water throughout the day. It also tracks how much water I've consumed and lets me set daily goals.

Lastly, I've found that adding a bit of flavor to my water helps me drink more of it. I like to infuse my water with slices of cucumber, lemon, or strawberry to give it a bit of taste.

I hope these tips help you out! Good luck on your hydration journey.

Hello there,

I can completely sympathize with you on the struggle to stay hydrated throughout the day. A habit that has helped me is to set a specific time to drink water. For instance, I drink a glass of water first thing in the morning, another when I come back from lunch, and I aim to drink at least one glass of water every hour until I leave work. Scheduling time to drink water has become a habit that helps me to make sure I'm always getting enough water.

Additionally, I love incorporating fruits into my diet that are high in water content. I snack on watermelon, cucumber, oranges and grapefruits, and this not only helps to hydrate me but also gives me extra nutrients that are essential for my body.

I don't typically drink sugary drinks, but I recently tried refreshing, natural coconut water as an alternative to plain water. Its high potassium content, electrolytes and lower sugar levels, made it a great substitute for water throughout the day.

One other thing that has helped me, is having a bigger or visually appealing water bottle, which encourages me to drink more water. A fancy water bottle prompts me to be more mindful of my water intake, as I often carry it around everywhere I go.

So, these are some small tricks that have made a significant impact on my daily water intake. I hope they prove useful for you too.
