Hey everyone,
I've been on a weight loss journey for the past few months and have been following a strict diet and exercise regime. However, I've been hearing a lot about cheat meals or cheat days where you indulge in your favorite foods without worrying about the calorie count.
I'm just wondering if it's okay to have cheat meals or cheat days while trying to lose weight? Will it ruin my progress or slow down my weight loss journey?
I want to stay on track with my weight loss goals, but also don't want to completely deprive myself of my favorite foods. Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Hi there,
I believe that having cheat meals or days while trying to lose weight is a personal preference. For me, having cheat meals led to overindulging and completely falling off track. I found myself struggling to get back to my healthy eating habits and ended up feeling guilty and frustrated.
What works for me is allowing myself to eat small portions of the foods I love on occasion. Rather than having a dedicated cheat day, I'll indulge in a small portion of dessert or a more indulgent meal when I feel like it. I found this helped me stick to my diet plan and prevented me from feeling deprived of my favorite foods.
It's important to find a balance that works for you and your lifestyle. If having occasional cheat meals or days helps you stick to your weight loss goals, then go for it! If it doesn't work for you, try finding healthier alternatives or enjoy small portions of the foods you love on occasion. Every person is different, so it's important to listen to your own body and make changes that work for you.
Remember, weight loss is a journey and there will be ups and downs along the way. What matters most is finding a way of eating and enjoying life that works for you long-term.
