Q:

Is there a specific time of day that's ideal for exercising?

Hey guys,

I've recently started working out and I'm wondering if there is a specific time of day that is ideal for exercising. I work a 9-5 job and typically try to squeeze in a workout before or after work, but I'm not sure if there's a better time for optimal results.

Are morning workouts better for boosting metabolism and energy throughout the day? Or are evening workouts better for relieving stress and helping me unwind before bed?

I'm open to any suggestions and personal experiences you guys have had. Thanks in advance!

Hey there!

From my experience, the ideal time to workout depends on your workout goals. For me, I like to do light exercises like yoga and stretching in the mornings to energize me for the day ahead, and focus on more intense workouts in the evenings to get rid of the day's stress and tension.

I believe that if you are looking to lose weight, morning workouts may be ideal as metabolism slows down during sleep, so exercising in the morning can yield better results. However, if you are looking to build muscle, strength training in the afternoon/evenings could be more effective.

Ultimately, it comes down to what works best for you and scheduling. Consistency is key regardless of what time of day you decide to exercise. Just make sure that you listen to your body and give yourself enough time to rest and recover.

I have found that working out in the morning before work has been the best for me. It gives me an energy boost for the day and sets a positive tone for my morning. Plus, I've heard that working out on an empty stomach can help burn more fat.

However, I have friends who swear by evening workouts. They say that it helps them decompress after a long day and improves their sleep. Plus, they feel like they can push themselves harder in the evening since they've had meals throughout the day.

I think it ultimately depends on your personal preferences and schedule. Try out both and see what works best for you!
