I've recently started working out and I'm a bit confused about whether I should be focusing more on muscle toning or fat burning. My ultimate goal is to lose weight and get a leaner body, but I also want to have some definition in my muscles. I'm not too sure which approach I should take - should I be doing more cardio to burn fat or should I be doing more strength training to tone my muscles?
Just to give you a bit of context, I'm currently overweight and I have a bit of fat around my midsection that I'm trying to get rid of. I'm also fairly sedentary, so I'm trying to incorporate more physical activity into my daily routine.
